| Down in the field of about one square kilometer along the eight kilometer stream of Shou Shan village is where the cream of the crop Shou Shan Stone is hidden – Tian Huang, the king of all stones.
The locals divide the different parts of the field into three categories: ‘the upper field’, ‘the middle field’ and ‘the lower field’. Traditionally, ‘the middle field’ is considered to have the best coloured Tian Huang, followed by ‘the upper field’, and then by ‘the lower field’. |
